Black Mirror III Hints
How does the map-marking puzzle work?
of 8: Draw lines on the map in click-and-drag style.
of 8: Point the pencil at a spot, hold down the left mouse button and move the pencil (not necessarily in a straight line) to the other end of the line you want to draw, then release the left mouse button.
of 8: The game won't let you draw lines just anywhere. Each line has to connect two significant items on the map.
of 8: Experimentation will show that all of the menhir-marking X's are significant items, and some (but not all) of the locations on the map are, too.
of 8: Specifically, Warmhill, the hotel, and the northern of the two yellow markers that are south of the castle are significant items.
of 8: When drawing lines between two significant items, you don't have to always point the pencil at their exact centers. If your aim is a little off, the game will adjust the line accordingly. If your aim is too far off, the line won't be drawn, and you'll need to try again.
of 8: After you draw a line, you can erase it by pointing at it to get an eraser cursor, and then clicking to erase.
of 8: Your goal is to draw lines between significant items so that they'll indicate where the five smaller portals can be found.
