How can I detect bear traps?

  • 1 of 7: Darren obviously isn't observant enough to spot them on his own, even if they're not very well-hidden, so he'll need a device that can find them for him.
  • 2 of 7: There's no such thing as a bear trap detector, but there is such a thing as a metal detector.
  • 3 of 7: You'll find a metal detector in the swamp.
  • 4 of 7: It's near the middle of the swamp screen. Pick it up to get the "Metal detector" task.
  • 5 of 7: After you fix the metal detector, return to the area with the bear trap and warning sign.
  • 6 of 7: If you head down the path right away, Darren won't think to use the metal detector to avoid the bear traps.
  • 7 of 7: To clue him in, use the metal detector on the bear trap that's near the warning sign. You can then go down the trapped path safely.
