What can I put across the chasm?
1 of 5: Something like long wooden planks or an extendable ladder would work.
2 of 5: Look in the garden area that's in back of the castle.
3 of 5: To the left of the large scaffolding structure is a folding ladder.
4 of 5: If examining the ladder doesn't give you the option to take it, return to the cave and examine the chasm.
5 of 5: Keep examining it until you get the gear cursor when pointing at it, then go get the ladder.
