  • 1 of 12: Examine the stone tablet to the left of the holder twice to get Darren to say he could use a copy of it to show other people.
  • 2 of 12: Return to Willow Creek and ask around about hieroglyphics to see who can help you.
  • 3 of 12: Why not try Dr. Winterbottom? She has lots of books on her shelves.
  • 4 of 12: When you ask her about hieroglyphics, she'll give you a book she has on the subject.
  • 5 of 12: Use the photo or drawing you made of the stone tablet on the hieroglyphics book to find a note from a guy named Edward.
  • 6 of 12: In case you didn't notice earlier, he's the guy who's now working the counter in the cafĂ©.
  • 7 of 12: Ask him about hieroglyphics, then ask him about burial mounds to learn that Miss Valley was involved in the excavation of some of those.
  • 8 of 12: Since she was murdered, the police have probably searched her house thoroughly for clues. Go see if they have any info for you.
  • 9 of 12: Go to the police station and talk to Inspector Spooner about Miss Valley's house.
  • 10 of 12: After that conversation is over, talk to Constable Zak about Miss Valley's house to get taken there, then start looking around.
  • 11 of 12: After you return to the village square, use the walking map to go to the "eastern marsh" area that's east of the castle.
  • 12 of 12: Use the "beaten track" exit on the east side of the marsh to find a burial mound.
