1 of 7: Do you remember reading about them in your research?
2 of 7: They're the "Faces of the Forest."
3 of 7: And they want something from you. (Or they will after a little while -- you won't have a chance to give anything to them right away.)
4 of 7: They like tobacco.
5 of 7: You have a pack of the Stranger's cigarettes in your inventory.
6 of 7: Walk over to the flame that appears in the center of the screen and use them there. I found it could be a little tough to move into the right position, and you may have to wait until Doc makes some comment like "What do you want from me?", but you should be able to use them eventually.
