How can I get back into the boiler room?
1 of 7: Certainly not through the boiler room door. Even if you could pick the lock or something like that, the boiler man would see you go in.
2 of 7: And, of course, the grate door in the main lobby of the sanatorium that leads to the patients' cells (and from there to the boiler room) is locked, and isn't even interactive. That's not the way, either. What other possibility is there?
3 of 7: You can find the answer by remembering how you got out of the sanatorium back in Chapter IV when you were trapped in James' cell.
4 of 7: You went down the hole under his bed...
5 of 7: ...and ended up in the yard in front of the sanatorium's front door, having taken the sewer exit that James had used to make good his escape.
6 of 7: Why couldn't you just reverse the process to get back into James' cell?
7 of 7: Return to the front yard and find the sewer exit. (NOTE: It won't register as an exit until you learn that the boiler man has the key to the chapel.) It will take you back to James' cell, from which you can make your way down the hall and into the boiler room.
