When can I do this?
1 of 2: You get the keys to the study door early in the game at the sanatorium, but it's quite a bit later before you're able to travel to Black Mirror Manor.
2 of 2: Specifically, you can go to the manor and enter the study after you use the microscope in Dr. Hermann's morgue to compare the hair samples from Hermann's hand and James' head.
