How do I work the stone relief puzzle?
1 of 18: First, you have to "unlock" it.
2 of 18: Notice that the pentagram in the center of the puzzle is interactive, but doesn't do anything when you left- or right-click on it. This indicates that you need to use an inventory item on it.
3 of 18: Samuel's inventory is really cut down to the basics for this chapter, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
4 of 18: It's something that belongs to the Gordon family.
5 of 18: You need to use the family ring that you found in Robert's safe.
6 of 18: Use it in the center pentagram to place it.
7 of 18: Make sure you remember to click on it to turn it, to power up the puzzle.
8 of 18: Pay close attention to the eight evil red symbols.
9 of 18: You've seen five of these before.
10 of 18: If you'll remember, all five of the symbols you've seen were either photographed or sketched, and are all in the back of William's diary.
11 of 18: The game is nice enough to let you access your inventory without closing the puzzle screen, so take advantage of that to review the symbols quickly.
12 of 18: NOTE: The symbols themselves (on the stone relief) are not interactive, but the little red jewels that are next to the symbols are.
13 of 18: That must be what you're supposed to do here -- click on the selector jewels for the symbols you found near the dead bodies.

16 of 18: If not, just check the diary. They are in the diary in the correct order.
