The Black Mirror Hints
Are the light fixtures that are mounted on the walls important?
1 of 18: The light fixtures in question are located on the side walls at most catacomb locations.
2 of 18: Have you tried to go around and click on the buttons underneath the big light fixtures? They can apparently be turned on and off.
3 of 18: However, there's more to this than just lighting up the joint.
4 of 18: If only you knew which fixtures to turn on....
5 of 18: You'll find a clue somewhere in the catacombs.
6 of 18: Did you fully explore the little room that the fixtures' power stand is in?
7 of 18: One of the little alcoves in the back of the room is interactive.
8 of 18: The paper found in the alcove is actually a map of the catacombs.
9 of 18: It doesn't look like it's of much use at first since nothing is labeled, including light fixtures, but there's a way to get it to tell you what you need to know.
10 of 18: Remember the useless-looking piece of paper you found in Robert's study in Chapter V and how you got it to spill its secret?
11 of 18: You won't find any green lights here.
12 of 18: You can't even hold the map up to any of the light fixtures, so you'll have to try something else.
13 of 18: Did you notice the big candle in the back right room?
14 of 18: Use your handy lighter to light the candle, then use the catacombs map on the lit candle and wait until four squares on it light up.
15 of 18: Each square on the map translates to one column in the catacomb. The empty spaces in between are the walkways through the catacombs.
16 of 18: The four columns that light up on the map are four columns in the catacombs that need their attached light fixtures turned on.
17 of 18: Go around and hit each of those four lights. (NOTE: Each column only has one light on it. Sometimes, the light in question will be on the left side of the column, and sometimes on the right side. You may need to look in the halls on both sides of the columns in order to find the light you need to turn on.)
