What can I do with the rear garden's fountain?
1 of 16: Have you examined it carefully?
2 of 16: In particular, you will need to right-click on the fountain at least once.
3 of 16: When you right-click on the fountain, Samuel will say there's something glittering in it, but he can't get to it.
4 of 16: The water is preventing Samuel from investigating the glittering object.
5 of 16: You'll need to drain the fountain.
6 of 16: First you'll have to locate the water pump controls.
7 of 16: Such things are often put in utility spaces, such as sheds, utility closets, and cellars.
8 of 16: Go into the house and visit the kitchen to find that the cellar door is now open. (If, that is, you've right-clicked on the fountain at least once.)
9 of 16: Go on down to find that Bates is using a grindstone to sharpen a knife.
10 of 16: You'll find the water pump and its control panel in the rear part of the cellar.
11 of 16: Click on the control panel to learn that Samuel has no idea how to work the controls.
12 of 16: Someone around here must know what to do.
13 of 16: Go ask Bates about it.
14 of 16: Ask him about the fountain, then go try the control panel again.
15 of 16: Still no good, so go ask Bates about draining the fountain.
16 of 16: NOW you can finally fiddle with the controls.
