How do I open the trap door?
1 of 13: You need to rig up a way to apply some serious pulling force to the trap door.
2 of 13: It has one of those round metal rings on the top of it -- maybe you could tie it to a machine that could pull it open, like the lift engine.
3 of 13: But before you can do any tying, you'll need a rope.
4 of 13: There's one in the storage room.
5 of 13: It's hanging on a short section of fencing to the right of the fence door.
6 of 13: Get it and use it on the trap door, then look around for something to tie the other end to.
7 of 13: The rope is too short to reach the lift engine (which Samuel refuses to start up, anyway), so you'll have to settle for something in the lift shaft room.
8 of 13: How about that mining cart?
9 of 13: Click the rope cursor on the mining cart to attach it, then click on the cart to give it a good shove.
10 of 13: Oh, now the cart won't move! When will the problems ever end?
11 of 13: Have you tried right-clicking on the mining cart?
12 of 13: Looks like you need to take the brake off!
13 of 13: After right-clicking on the mining cart to release the brake, left-click on it again to shove it and get the trap door open.
