How do I unlock the attic door?

  • 1 of 6: With the attic door key.
  • 2 of 6: Who might know where that is?
  • 3 of 6: Why not ask the butler?
  • 4 of 6: After you try the attic door and find it locked, you can ask Bates about the attic key to learn that it's hanging next to the cellar door.
  • 5 of 6: So go to the kitchen and search around the cellar door.
  • 6 of 6: The attic key is hanging with another key just to the right of the cellar door (to the left of the vase). Click on the "key" hotspot to take it (and again later on to return it, but doing so is optional).
