The Black Mirror Hints
The boards are gone, but the door is locked!
of 9: That's right. And it's going to stay that way for quite awhile. Getting the key to this door is going to keep you busy for most of the rest of the chapter.
of 9: Click on the locked door unil Samuel thinks of asking Victoria about the key.
of 9: It turns out that she's destroyed her copy of the key, but there may be another one in William's personal belongings. She said to ask Dr. Hermann about that, so go do so.
of 9: Talk to him about "personal belongings" and he'll arrange to have a messenger meet you by the manor's main gate at 7 o'clock.
of 9: Since this game isn't real-time, you can't just go down to the main gate and wait around. You'll have to "trigger" that event by doing more exploring and investigating first.
of 9: The meeting will automatically happen after you get back from visiting Willow Creek and the Warmhill Vicarage. See those hint sections for more information on what all is involved.
of 9: After you meet Mark at the main gate and he leaves, pick up the box he left on the ground and examine it.
of 9: You'll find that it has William's old watch in it.
of 9: Examining the watch yields a piece of paper with a clue on it about where William hid his spare tower key.
