Chapter I Checklist
To best use this list, print it out and check off everything that you know you've done, then go back and see about doing the things you missed. Remember, not everything has to be done in this exact order, but many things must happen before others can. (For instance, all of the things listed before traveling to Willow Creek must be done before you can make that trip.)
___ Get the map from the library. ___ Get the sweets from the dining room. ___ Find Samuel's room and unlock it. ___ Open the suitcase in Samuel's room and get the pills and wallet from it. ___ Find the attic door upstairs and unlock it. ___ Find the door to the old tower at the far left end of the attic. ___ Get a tool that you can use to pry the boards off the old tower door. ___ Once the boards are gone, click on the door twice to think of asking Victoria for a key. ___ Go talk to Victoria in the common room about the tower key. ___ Talk to Bates about Victoria, then return to Victoria and apologize. ___ Talk to Dr. Hermann about William's personal belongings to set up a seven-o'clock meeting at the main gate. ___ Go to the base of the old tower out on the grounds and click on the bent section of fencing. ___ Ask Bates to show you the place where William died. ___ Click on the stain next to the tower window that Bates pointed out and examine the symbol in the close-up view. ___ Get Samuel's camera from his room in the manor. ___ Get some film for the camera and insert it. ___ Use the camera to take a picture of the symbol on the old tower wall. ___ Ask Robert where to develop the film. ___ Right-click on the shrubs to the right of the old tower to get a strange object. ___ Ask Bates about the object. ___ Ask Henry the gardener about the object, and then about the bill of exchange. ___ Find the torn-up photograph in the old wing and put it back together. ___ Ask Victoria and then Robert about the photo. ___ Travel to Willow Creek via map. ___ Find the pawn shop and click on its door to learn that it's closed. ___ Get the kid near the pub to talk to you, then ask about the pawn shop and the torn-up photo. ___ Talk to the guys in the pub until you learn about William's midnight vicarage visits and some guy named Mark. ___ Travel to the Warmhill vicarage. ___ Talk to the grave-digger about everything. ___ Visit William's grave and click on its inscription. ___ Talk to the grave-digger about Father Frederick again. ___ Pick up the box of stuff that Mark left on the ground. ___ Right-click on the box and then on the watch to find the note about the key. ___ After reading the note, go to the library and click on the inkwell on the table in the rear part. ___ Click on the secret cabinet to get the box of planets. ___ Use the box of planets with the globe in the library's central part to get the key to the old tower door. ___ Return to the attic and use the key to unlock the tower door and enter William's study. ___ Get the chess piece and music box from the roll-top desk. ___ Get and read William's secret diary. ___ Get the black sphere that's inside the massive chest. ___ Unlock the door and exit the study to end the chapter.
