1 of 7: The following are some activities that you can do in the game, which may or may not directly contribute to the progress of the game. However, some of them may provide additional detail to the story line you are following.
2 of 7: You can read the big book on the table in the rear part of the library to learn a bit about Gordon family history.
3 of 7: You can examine the fireplace in Samuel's room and then ask Bates to light a fire in it. He won't do so right away, but will later on.
4 of 7: If you ask Dr. Hermann about William, he'll tell you of strange burn marks found on the body. When Samuel asks about them, Hermann just says to ask again tomorrow (which you can do when you visit Hermann's house in Chapter II).
5 of 7: You can click on the newspaper rack next to the door to Robert's study to read an interesting note to him from "H.H." Could that be Heinz Hermann?
6 of 7: You can examine the fountain in the rear garden area and then go tell Henry the gardener to clean it up.
7 of 7: You don't need to talk to Morris the groom (the guy chopping wood near the stable) in this chapter, but you can for some extra info. Also, talk to him again after examining the bottle of wine that's setting on the workbench inside the stable.
