How do I get past the main gate?
1 of 12: Have you tried the doorbell? It's on the wall just to the right of the gate.
2 of 12: Well, that didn't work. Try it again.
3 of 12: There must be something wrong with it. Try right-clicking on it to examine it more closely. (You have to have tried ringing it at least twice for this to work.)
4 of 12: Samuel notices that the wires barely connect. Perhaps that's the problem.
5 of 12: Try sticking something in there with them that will help close the connection better.
6 of 12: You'll need something metallic.
7 of 12: If you try your chess piece knife, Samuel will say that the blade needs to be thinner.
8 of 12: You can't file it down with anything, so you'll have to find something else.
9 of 12: Carefully scan around the main gate screen for interactive items.
10 of 12: The statue to the left of the gate has a broken-off leg that you can examine.
11 of 12: Click on it until Samuel examines the statue more closely and takes the nail he finds.
12 of 12: Using the nail with the doorbell will make it work long enough to summon the estate's caretaker.
