What do I need from James' cell?
1 of 8: The main thing you need to do is figure out where James might have gone. He said in his letter that he'd meet William in "our place," but where is that?
2 of 8: There might be a clue somewhere in James' cell. Look around carefully.
3 of 8: Checking around the cell, you'll find a painting that James made of a lighthouse. (It's on an easel near the bottom left corner of the screen.)
4 of 8: That's probably where he's wanting to meet William! You need to get there yourself, since William certainly can't. But before you leave, you'll need to find something else important.
5 of 8: James wrote a sort of secret diary on some papers. Search around for them.
6 of 8: Check out his dilapidated mattress. It's got a hole in it.
7 of 8: Right-click on the hole in the mattress to find his hiding place.
8 of 8: Once you have the painting and notes, you'll be ready to go -- not able, but ready.
