Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines Hints
Where can I find the sarcophagus in the museum basement?
of 16: Once you've made it to the basement, you'll probably notice that the security has stepped up a few notches.
of 16: You're mostly safe from triggering the alarm if you stay on the green line, but if the camera watching the red line sees you, you will trigger the alarm anyway.
of 16: If you're REALLY sneaky, you can creep into the security control room near the entrance, and shut off the cameras with the computer (it requires hacking 4. or just use Cameras1: pterodactyl, Cameras2: velociraptor). It's almost impossible to avoid the guard in there though, and since there's no real penalty for killing everyone in here, AND there's a Security manual in the room, if you can't avoid him, you might as well just kill the guards to get the goodies.
of 16: You can walk along the green line safely, but what you want is along the red line.
of 16: You can avoid setting off the alarm by carefully watching the camera, and hurrying past it when it looks the other way (or just set off the alarm and kill everyone).
of 16: Go down the red line and enter the office with the open door to the left.
of 16: Read the note on the desk, and take note of the code. Before you use that, though, you'll need another key.
of 16: Go into the other room along the red line, and grab the Museum Workroom Key off the desk.
of 16: The code you got is for a nearby door, also along the red line. It's almost impossible to get to without triggering the alarm, but give it a shot if you are so inclined.
of 16: Once you are through, you'll pass a security room (don't bother with it), and will eventually come to a bunch of lasers.
of 16: It's impossible to jump over them, so don't even bother trying. Instead, hit the box to the left with a melee weapon.
of 16: The lasers will start acting weird, allowing you to get through if you time it correctly. Just make sure to save BEFORE you hit the box, or the lasers will just be static when you reload, and you won't be able to mess them up again -- annoying little bug.
of 16: Once past, open the door to the left. If you triggered the lasers, there will be a guard to the right whom you can kill to get the key.
of 16: Once you get through the door, just proceed through the short area until you get to the empty storage room.
of 16: You'll meet Beckett there who will explain (a bit of) what is going on. If you ask him a lot of questions, and act interested in what he's saying, you will get a free point of Scholarship. I highly recommend doing this.
of 16: Once you're done talking to him, you will be automatically transported back to Downtown.
