How can I get rid of the Gargoyle for Isaac?
1 of 9: Note that Isaac will give you this quest if you ask him if there's anything else you can do around town. There's two ways to go about this.
2 of 9: If you've been to the Tremere Chantry downtown, and picked up the Thaumaturgical Creatures book in the library, you will get a hint in the quest log to try talking to the Tremere Regent.
3 of 9: If you don't know where he is, you'll have no choice but to kill the Gargoyle. Otherwise, go talk to the Regent.
4 of 9: If you question the Regent about the Gargoyle, he'll say it was made by the Tremere Clan. If you have a decent amount of Persuasion, you can get him to admit that it is his old bodyguard. If you offer to kill it for him, he will give you the Rune of the Third Eye, which will greatly decrease the amount of damage the Gargoyle does.
5 of 9: If you got the Regent to admit that he made the Gargoyle, you can go tell Isaac this for 2 bonus XP. The Regent won't be very happy, though.
6 of 9: Once you are set, go into the Chinese Theater. Here you can either kill the Gargoyle, or try to convince it to ally with Isaac.
7 of 9: To convince it to ally with Isaac, you will have to have learned that the Regent is his old master. Mention this, and then keep saying that Isaac is trying to fight against the Tremere and the Camarilla who enslaved the Gargoyle. Eventually he will agree to help Isaac.
8 of 9: Otherwise, you can kill him. It's tough if you didn't visit the Regent, and easy if you did. Note that normally lethal weapons are worthless against him. Use guns or bashing weapons. (The sledgehammer from Red Spot works quite well.)
9 of 9: Once he goes down, or you allied with him, go inform Isaac. You get 3XP either way.
