Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines Hints
How can I finish off everyone in the Venture Tower?
of 28: Ah, after the Golden Temple, this part is practically a cakewalk. The enemies in here are mostly humans, and most of them use guns, so take advantage of your disciplines and ability to feed off them.
of 28: To start, get on the elevator, it will stop before you get to the Prince, forcing you to make your way up.
of 28: There are three doors here, and all of them lead to the same place. Take the left door if you have little or no lockpicking skill. Otherwise, take the right door.
of 28: You'll eventually get to some stairs, so go on up to the next floor.
of 28: Head to the right. Get some blood from the lone patrolling guard if you can, and head into the big room.
of 28: Go towards the tables, and a bunch of commandos will start to descend. With lots of sneak, you should be able to stealth-kill most of them. Otherwise, their sheer numbers make is somewhat difficult. It shouldn't be too hard though.
of 28: Once you have killed ALL of the commandos, the door at the other end of the room will open. Head up the stairs to the roof.
of 28: There are four commandos on the roof here. With halfway-decent sneaking you can easily stealth-kill them all. If not, well, just deal with them like you normally do.
of 28: On the other end of the roof, there is an open pipe. It can be a little hard to see, but it's pretty evident if you look up to where it leads. Enter the pipe and head up to the next floor.
of 28: Here you will be in a sort of construction area. Explore it, taking out the guards. You will eventually find a weird-looking LaCroix near an elevator. Talk with him a bit, and he will attack.
of 28: He's amusingly easy, just beat him up however you see fit. Grab the Astrolite he drops (remember that stuff?).
of 28: When you walk on to the elevator, you will probably notice that you can use the Astrolite.
of 28: You don't have to do this, but it's a good idea. Arm the Astrolite, and push the up button on the elevator while quickly getting off. BOOM.
of 28: All the commandos and guards above will be dead. Call the elevator back down (somehow, it is still intact) and take it all the way up two floors.
of 28: Hop on to the other elevator up here, and take it up to the (sort of) final floor.
of 28: There's a bunch of machine-gun toting vampires up here who will start shooting at you when you emerge.
of 28: Head up the stairs and quickly to the left to get rid of some of them.
of 28: If you want, you can go into the room off to the right, and hack the computer to turn off the lights (password: hitthelights). This will make it a lot easier to sneak through this part.
of 28: Follow the red-lit hallway to a door at the end of it. Head through, and take the elevator up. Get ready for the (dum dum dum) final boss! Well, unless you sided with LaCroix, in which case ... why are you reading this?
of 28: In the next room, you will meet the Sheriff, shirtless and ready for battle. This is actually a disappointingly easy fight. If you are quick, you shouldn't take any damage at all in this boss fight.
of 28: In this part, basically every time you hit the Sheriff, he will immediately teleport behind you, so quickly whirl 180 degrees and nail him before he can charge and hit you. He will be taking full damage from all your weapons, so he will go down pretty quickly. Celerity makes this laughably easy.
of 28: Once you "kill" the Sheriff, he will turn into a giant bat, grab you, and fly you to the roof of the tower.
of 28: Don't worry about the commandos, as they will be distracted shooting at the bat. The occasional war-form vampire will appear up here and attack you though, so be ready.
of 28: The bat won't really attack you; it will just fly around up above your reach. You can kill it with ranged weapons, but it will take forever.
of 28: An easy way to kill it is to run over to those spotlights, turn one of them on, and wait for the bat to fly into the beam. It will drop to the ground, allowing you some time to beat on it in melee with no retaliation.
of 28: There are two spotlights you can do this with, and you should easily be able to kill the bat with the time both of them afford you, unless you are really bad at melee. If you don't manage to kill it, you will have to take it down with ranged weapons, or damaging disciplines. Bach's sniper rifle is good at doing so, if you picked it up.
of 28: Once you take it down, you will be brought to LaCroix's office, with him standing there.
of 28: Go talk to him to finally end the game. The conversation and outcome will vary a bit depending on whom you allied with, but it's a pretty lousy ending no matter what. Oh well.
