Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines Hints
Protean
1 of 2: This is the Gangrels' unique discipline. It will cause you to transform in various ways, enhancing your Unarmed combat ability by giving you claws that deal aggravated damage, for minimal blood point cost. It is quite good in combination with the Gangrels' other disciplines at killing bosses, since they won't be able to soak your damage as well as they would against normal weapons.
2 of 2: Of course, the risk of Protean is that if you are seen by any mortals when you are transformed you incur a Masquerade Violation. Fortunately, you don't have to worry about this in combat zones, but it is occasionally a concern. Be ready to cancel the discipline if you think you're going to encounter a mortal.
