Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines Hints

Ranged

  • 1 of 2: Sort of good and bad. Early in the game, guns are utterly useless, until you pick up a shotgun and get a lot of ammo for it. This is kind of problematic, since you can't use your Bloodbuff to increase Ranged as you can with Unarmed and Melee early in the game.
  • 2 of 2: Once guns start getting good, however, they get quite strong. Shotguns will blow Vampires away at close range, and machine guns are similarly effective against humans. You will have to concentrate a lot of XP into Perception in order to be effective with guns, though. Thankfully you can get two free points of Firearms from a quest and a book.
