Persuasion
1 of 2: By far the most useful social feat, as you usually don't need too much of it to get what you want, and it can be used in the great majority of dialogues where you'd need it. Note that sometimes Persuade appears to fail after picking a Persuasion option -- this generally means that you still need to convince them a bit. You'll have to pick the proper dialogue tree to completely convince them, or possibly use Persuasion again.
2 of 2: Boosting Scholarship for this will also help increase Research, which is always handy to have, so getting Persuasive is doubly useful.
