Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines Hints
How can I get the info the easy sneaky way?
of 12: This requires that you have at least some social skill.
of 12: Talk to the policeman who is calling you over once you climb up the rope ladder.
of 12: He'll think that you're a journalist he is allowing on the boat. If you have decent a decent social feat, or Dementation/Dominate, you will be able to get him to give you the police report, the first thing you seek, and to give you the password for the ship's computer.
of 12: Next, sneak down the stairs, and around to the right. Wait till the policeman leaves his post, and sneak through the door.
of 12: Then go to the right, and up the stairs through the unlocked door to the empty security room.
of 12: Use the computer (password: lighthouse). Turning on the engine probably makes sneaking a little easier, but all you have to do is turn on the deck cams, then use the monitor to your right a couple times until you get a picture of the sarcophagus. This will count as "Exploring the Crime Scene".
of 12: Now you just need the ship's cargo manifest.
of 12: Use the computer again and unlock all the bulkheads. Then go back down the staircase, and through the now-unlocked door.
of 12: Grab the ship's manifest from the table, and you've got everything you need. Now you have to get out.
of 12: Simply go back the way you came. You don't want to kill anyone, but you'll have to move the guard who's back at his post.
of 12: The simplest way is to just feed off him from behind, while avoiding killing him. You'll push him out of the way.
of 12: Now just forget sneaking, and dash back up to the rope ladder and the way out.
