The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon Hints

The Ristaag

  • 1 of 15: After the totem is turned over, Wind-Eye tells you to go find a guy named Rolf Long-Tooth to do the ritual hunt with.
  • 2 of 15: He says Long-Tooth is on the western shore of Lake Fjalding, but he's really not.
  • 3 of 15: He and his two companions are quite a ways west of the lakeshore, well into the snowy forest.
  • 4 of 15: If you have too much trouble finding them, you can bring down the console with ~ and type the following to teleport straight to them:

    player->positioncell -171850,196840,1131,232 x
  • 5 of 15: If it's 9 pm or later, talk to Long-Tooth about "Ristaag" and "ensure our success" to get the hunt started.
  • 6 of 15: He'll stroll a short distance to the south, so follow him.
  • 7 of 15: When he stops, wait a few seconds and you'll hear a werewolf attack Sattir.
  • 8 of 15: Long-Tooth tells you to go investigate, so head a short distance straight west to find Sattir's body.
  • 9 of 15: Report back to Long-Tooth to continue the journey.
  • 10 of 15: When Axe-Wife is attacked, go a short distance straight east to find her body.
  • 11 of 15: Save your game before reporting back to Long-Tooth this time, since the next event that happens after a bit more walking around is a big werewolf attack.
  • 12 of 15: The Spirit Bear that you're hunting may or may not appear and attack while the werewolves are attacking. If it doesn't, save your game after killing the werewolves and carefully search the nearby area for a large white bear.
  • 13 of 15: If you have trouble finding it, try moving south a bit. I've often found it in the area just north of Gronn (location 38 on the Solstheim Map).
  • 14 of 15: Once you find the Spirit Bear (it had better be before morning), kill it and take its heart.
  • 15 of 15: The Ristaag hunt is finally over, so return to the Skaal Village and give the heart to Wind-Eye. He'll teach you the "Call Bear" spell by way of reward.
