Why do several of the caves, dungeons, etc. have blocked entrances?
1 of 4: Because you're not supposed to go there.
2 of 4: Yet!
3 of 4: Those places are quest-related and will become unblocked when it's time to go there for the quest. So if you can't enter a certain area, just be patient and explore elsewhere for a while.
4 of 4: NOTE: The game designers probably made things this way because of all the people complaining about how easy it is on Vvardenfell to accidentally wreck important quests during early just-for-fun explorations.
