Dream of Hircine
1 of 10: The way you get main quests as a werewolf is through dreams sent to you by Hircine, the Daedra God of the Hunt, at the moment you transform into a wolf at 9 pm. That's also the way you report after finishing a quest.
2 of 10: The second time you transform into a wolf, Hircine will appear in a dream and tell you that the Skaal are trying to get the Totem of Claw and Fang from the nearby Tombs of Skaalara (location 7 on the Solstheim Map).
3 of 10: When you enter the tombs area, head east and follow the passage around as it goes south, killing every Skaal hunter you meet along the way.
4 of 10: There's no way to verify this as a wolf, but the totem you're playing keep-away with is in the locked chest that's in the south central room (the one with a Stalhrim-encased skeleton).
5 of 10: Make your way to that room as quickly as you can, then stand at its entrance and defend it against all comers.
6 of 10: Some Skaal will appear in a large cavern to the north of you. Do go kill them, but don't let other Skaal groups sneak around behind you and enter the room with the totem. (Keep checking your game map to see where all the red blips are. They appear due to the constant Detect Animal effect that's on you while you're in wolf form.)
7 of 10: NOTE: If you get a message about a Skaal hunter getting the totem, you don't have to instantly restore a save and try again -- you can run over and kill the hunter to get the totem to teleport itself back into the chest.
8 of 10: TIP: Surviving this quest is very nearly impossible unless you rest in a safe spot until you revert back from wolf form. That way you can use all your gear and spells to help you kill off the Skaal and stay healthy. (You can even revert back before you enter the Tombs of Skaalara at all, if you like.)
9 of 10: Keep killing Skaal sorties until you get a journal entry saying that they've given up the quest for the totem.
10 of 10: The way to report success on the quest is to wait until 9 pm on the following night. Hircine will appear in another dream when you change and will reward you with sharper claws (a higher damage multiplier when attacking with your werewolf claws) if you were successful.
