The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon Hints
Stop the Messenger
of 12: Carnius now admits that Hroldar the Strange has been his agent of chaos the whole time, and asks you to work with him in stopping a certain report from getting to the fort.
of 12: You'll find Hroldar the Strange in the center of the fort's outdoor courtyard, near the well.
of 12: Talk to him and follow him as he heads off to a spot NW of the fort.
of 12: After you arrive at the spot and Hroldar begins to wait, head over to the Raven Rock colony (via ship or on foot).
of 12: Once there, look for a guy named Tirvel Balen near the east end of the colony. He's the one with the report.
of 12: Talk to him to get him to follow you, then head south to the docks and sail over to the fort.
of 12: Do not enter the fort, but go around its west side and on up to where Hroldar is waiting with his wolf pals.
of 12: Watch and wait (from a distance) as the wolves chew up the poor messenger, then talk to Hroldar to get a note and some scrolls from Carnius.
of 12: Read the note to learn that Carnius wants Hroldar killed off, and that the three magic scrolls included with the message can be used to make the wolves work for you.
of 12: You only have to use one Scroll of Savage Tyranny to get both wolves in your thrall. Once you do, start attacking Hroldar to get the wolves to attack him, too. (Or you could save all three scrolls for future use. They are incredibly powerful and useful, and will work on any creature in the game.)
of 12: If any dominated wolves survive, they'll still follow you around until the scroll's effect wears off, so you could go trolling for monsters out in the wilds.
of 12: When you're done with that, report back to Carnius to finish up and get another thousand bucks.
