A Wife's Retribution

  • 1 of 7: Talk to Kolfinna in her dwelling (location 16 on the Solstheim Map) about Sigvatr the Strong and "wergild" to get this quest.
  • 2 of 7: She's mad about Sigvatr killing her husband and demands to have that strongman's favorite jewel in exchange.
  • 3 of 7: Go find Sigvatr and talk to him about it. He's at location 48 on the map.
  • 4 of 7: Check your journal for a clue after you talk to him about the wergild the first time.
  • 5 of 7: What you need to do is get Siggy's disposition up to 90 or above via admiring or bribes. Then you can get Pinetear from him by talking to him about the wergild again.
  • 6 of 7: NOTE: If you can't get his disposition up high enough, you could kill or pickpocket him to get Pinetear.
  • 7 of 7: Once you have it, go give it to Kolfinna to get the key to Gustav's chest, which is up near the bed. She'll also allow you to rest legally here from now on.
