The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon Hints

The Ritual of Earth

  • 1 of 17: Start on this quest by visiting and using the Earth Stone (location 28 on the Solstheim Map).
  • 2 of 17: Now you're to travel to the Cave of Hidden Music and learn "the Song of the Earth."
  • 3 of 17: The Cave of Hidden Music is at location 46 on the island map.
  • 4 of 17: Enter it and explore around until you find the door leading to the Chamber of Song.
  • 5 of 17: The fast way to get there is to head west from the four-way path intersection that's near the entrance, though don't neglect all the other tunnels. There's usually a nice prize or two at every dead-end.
  • 6 of 17: Soon after you enter the Chamber of Song, you'll start to hear what sounds like King Kong after way too many king-size bean burritos.
  • 7 of 17: Again, explore all the tunnels to find goodies, and head west at the main four-way tunnel intersection to get to your goal for the area.
  • 8 of 17: That goal is a room with three special "musical" stalagmites that are making all the racket.
  • 9 of 17: Yes, oh weary veteran computer gamers, this is yet another musical "follow me" game like the ones you doubtless remember from countless other games throughout the ages.
  • 10 of 17: Click on each of the three hollow stalagmites to hear what kind of note each one plays.
  • 11 of 17: The notes can be classified simply as "low," "medium," and "high."
  • 12 of 17: The left stalagmite is high, the middle one is low, and the right one is medium. (You can also think of them as numbered left to right from 1 to 3.)
  • 13 of 17: There are two tunes that you have to play on the stalagmites. The first one has been repeating ever since you entered the Chamber of Song.
  • 14 of 17: It basically amounts to low-medium-high-medium (or 2-3-1-3).
  • 15 of 17: Once you enter that sequence correctly, the tune will change.
  • 16 of 17: Now it's high-medium-low-high (1-3-2-1).
  • 17 of 17: Enter that correctly to finish up here, then return to the Earth Stone to complete the quest.
