What is this "Stalhrim" stuff that covers the skeletons in so many barrows?
1 of 2: It's a very hard ice-like substance that many of the ancient Skaal used to encase the bodies of their dead heroes so that no one could ever defile them or reanimate them.
2 of 2: In order to mine Stalhrim, you have to have a very special tool. Do the East Empire Company Faction Quests up through the "Discovery in the Mine" quest to learn more.
