Blue Force Hints
Police Procedures, Scoring, and Getting Killed
You hear a beep and score points for all successful actions. Your cumulative score is on screen all the time. No indication of the maximum score is ever given in the game -- it appears to be 3,500 points.
Some folk like to obtain as many points as possible; others are totally disinterested in scoring and just want to get on with the basics of the game. The choice is yours -- but beware!!
During the first half of the game there is a fair amount of "Police Procedure", and for each correct action, you score points. When you do not follow correct procedure, you are frequently unaware of it (and obviously that you have missed scoring some points). On other occasions you DO know it, since you are "killed" and have to return to a previously saved game. However, Blue Force is extremely lenient in that whenever you're killed, you are generally given a pretty broad hint as to what you did, or didn't do, incorrectly.
There are some items you may need from time to time, and particularly of course when you get involved in potentially hazardous incidents. They are
* Colt .45 semi-automatic pistol -- for obvious reasons.
* Ammo pouch -- sometimes your gun may need loading; other times, not!
* Ticket book -- for parking, speeding, reckless driving, DUI, or other driving offenses.
* Miranda card -- advisable sometimes to "read suspects their rights".
