2 of 7: To... CALL him... away from his paint pot.
3 of 7: Notice anything inside that's designed for CALLING?
4 of 7: There's a telephone in the lobby.
5 of 7: Call Nico, and she will agree to speak with the painter.
6 of 7: You can now head outside and tell the painter that he has a phone call, at which point he will head inside.
