Broken Sword: Shadow Of The Templars (Director's Cut) Hints
How can I solve the rotating lock puzzle?
of 14: The other message on the stone cylinder rubbing is your biggest clue here.
of 14: The goal is to rotate the large central disc either left (Sinister) or right (Dexter) by a certain amount and in a certain order to get the door to open.
of 14: This puzzle varies between the Wii and DS in its operation, but the correct solution is the same across both.
of 14: On the Wii, you need to rotate the Wiimote either left or right until you hear the tumblers of the lock, at which point you should stop rotating and let the lock reset itself before entering the next value.
of 14: On the DS, you just need to press the left or right buttons in the correct order, and not worry about rotating or how much to rotate.
of 14: If you mess up, the lock will reset.
of 14: The correct combination of Sinister and Dexter turns can be found on an item you already have by this point.
of 14: See the combination of letters on the print of the stone cylinder?
of 14: S D S S D S S?
of 14: That's your combination.
of 14: Remember that S means Sinister, which means left, and D means Dexter, which means right.
of 14: So, the correct combination is:
of 14: Left Right Left Left Right Left Left.
of 14: After entering this value, the lock and the door will spring open, allowing you inside.
