Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror Hints
What's this puzzle all about?
1 of 8: Did you examine all tiles at the right?
2 of 8: There are four of them under the statue.
3 of 8: You need to depress them all and the skull door at the right will open.
4 of 8: Each of them is a combination of two of the tiles on the center wall.
5 of 8: You can only depress one of the four combined tiles after pressing the two tiles on the center wall that make up the combined one.
6 of 8: In order to be able to depress a tile on the center wall, you need to adjust the mayan wheels so that the two symbols that make up the tile are aligned in the middle. This can be done by turning the wheels.
7 of 8: The strategy here is to determine which two symbols on the center wall make up one on the right wall. Line up the wheels so that they show one of those symbols in the center, push the corresponding tile, and do the same for the second symbol. Then push the combined symbol on the right wall.
8 of 8: When you enter the room the wheels are already lined up to form one of the ten symbols on the center wall.
