Some General Notes
There are three things I want to mention before starting.
1) Make sure to examine every object you find or see by right-clicking your mouse on it. This will provide you with useful information.
2) When meeting people, talk to them about every available topic and show them every possible object you can. A good strategy for talking is to start at the end of the topics list and proceed to the beginning. If your opinion on something is asked, use some common sense -- in other words, answer what you think your conversation partner wants to hear. I won't tell you to talk to this person or that person about this or that item. Just talk to everybody about every available topic, and when you feel stuck, try talking to people again. Sometimes they will have some new information for you.
3) You can combine things by just clicking them on each other in your inventory. Sometimes things can be combined by clicking an inventory item on an item in the game screen.
