Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon Hints

Where can I find a rope?

  • 1 of 16: This one is a bit tricky -- there's a rope nearby, out in the open, but it is not readily visible.
  • 2 of 16: The rope won't be found on the ground.
  • 3 of 16: In fact, it was probably left by one of the workers who was working on the scaffolding across the street.
  • 4 of 16: Look at the scaffolding, on the side toward the pissoir, on the lower level (it is on the corner between the pissoir and the street).
  • 5 of 16: George is going to have to find a way to climb the scaffolding, and get to the rope.
  • 6 of 16: The place to climb up is on the far right side, where the scaffolding is a bit lower, and there isn't any railing.  Make sure that you're comfortable with moving George up onto, and around, the scaffolding.
  • 7 of 16: Now you'll need to distract the attendant.
  • 8 of 16: Make sure you've talked with her several times.
  • 9 of 16: She is extremely proud of the cleanliness of her pissoir.
  • 10 of 16: Have George talk to her until he insults her pissoir.  She will go to check it out, giving him time to run up the scaffolding.
  • 11 of 16: There is a time limit on how long she'll stay away.
  • 12 of 16: If she returns and catches George on the top level of the scaffolding, she'll kick him off again.
  • 13 of 16: If George needs to try again, he can just go back and insult the pissoir to the attendant again.
  • 14 of 16: As soon as the attendant heads for the pissoir, have George "Run" to the scaffolding, and get up to the top level as quickly as possible.
  • 15 of 16: George will need to jump a gap in the scaffolding.
  • 16 of 16: At the far end of the scaffolding (on the far left end), he'll need to move down a level to get the rope.
