Inventory: How does it work?
To open or close the inventory, use the spacebar. The largest item in the middle is the one currently selected for possible use. Use the left and right arrow keys to cycle through the inventory items.
The four icons in the bottom right corner will indicate what can be done with the currently selected inventory item.
To use an item in inventory on an item on the screen, first stand the character close to the on-screen item and make sure it is highlighted. Then open the inventory and cycle through the items until you see the item you want to use. Press the "S" key to use it.
To combine two items in inventory, press spacebar to bring up the inventory menu. Press the "A" key to put an item in hand (so to speak). At this point, pressing the "S" button will return the item to the other inventory items. With the item in hand, cycle through the inventory items (with the arrow keys) to find the second item (the one you'd like to use the first item with). Press "A" again to use the first item on the second one. If the two items can interact together, then the items will either combine or one item will have an affect on the other one.
