Saving the Game
The game save option is available from the menu. Open the menu by pressing Esc.
The game does not create saves automatically. It is up to the individual gamer to decide when to save the game. It is recommended to do so regularly, and often -- without saving over earlier game saves. The game should be saved, at a minimum, at the start of each change of location, or each change of character.
There are a couple of places where the character is able to leave a location without picking up a necessary item -- but once the character leaves the area, it is impossible to get back to that location again. At these times, a game save at the beginning of that location becomes very valuable, so as not to need to redo huge sections of the game.
