Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon Hints
How can I get to the skeleton in the spike room?
of 9: It won't work to use the same methods used to cross the room the first time.
of 9: All the spikes move in clusters. If some of them were to hit something, it would stop all of them.
of 9: Can you think of anything that could block the spikes from reaching the middle of the room?
of 9: What about the stone blocks?
of 9: George can move the stone blocks in the same way that he moved the crates earlier in the game.
of 9: Stopping the first set of spikes is easy -- but you'll have to stop two sets.
of 9: Bring the first block out into the first set of spikes, far enough to accommodate a second block behind it.
of 9: Bring the second block out, so that it also blocks the first set of spikes. Now the original block that was pushed out can be taken away from the first set of blocks, and the first set of spikes will be prevented from closing by the second block.
of 9: George can climb over the second block, and push out the first block into the second set of spikes. (Make sure that the block goes first, into the second set of spikes.) From this point, George will only need to climb over the block to reach the skeleton.
