Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon Hints

I can't get Nico back into Vernon's apartment.

  • 1 of 16: How did you leave Vernon's apartment the first time?
  • 2 of 16: You'll have to go back around by the fire escape, and re-enter that way.
  • 3 of 16: The door is locked....
  • 4 of 16: ...but it still may be worthwhile to examine the door carefully.
  • 5 of 16: It seem that the key is on the inside of the lock.  Can you think of a way to bring the key out to this side of the door?
  • 6 of 16: Think of what Nancy Drew might do.
  • 7 of 16: You could poke the key out the far side with something....
  • 8 of 16: Do you have anything that you could use to poke the key out of the keyhole?
  • 9 of 16: Use the pencil on the keyhole.
  • 10 of 16: But if you pushed the key out now, Nico would lose it for good...
  • 11 of 16: ...unless you could somehow catch it when it fell.
  • 12 of 16: If you could slip something under the door first...
  • 13 of 16: ...something like a sheet of newspaper...
  • 14 of 16: With a paper under the door, then you could poke the key out, and have it fall on the paper.
  • 15 of 16: When the key falls on the sheet of newspaper, take the paper; the key will come along with it.  Note that the paper will not be highlighted with an asterisk.  Nico will need to act when the doorknob is highlighted.
  • 16 of 16: Use the key on the door to get into Vernon's apartment again.
