Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon Hints

I can't get past the guard at the castle gate.

  • 1 of 8: It seems the guard doesn't like George.  Did you seriously expect him to open the gate for George? 

    Important note: If you haven't done so recently,  it is highly recommended that you save the game at this point. 
  • 2 of 8: Perhaps Nico would have better luck.
  • 3 of 8: Have George talk to Nico, and ask her to ring the bell.
  • 4 of 8: If the guard sees George, he'll go back inside.  Best to keep George out of sight.
  • 5 of 8: Move George into the shadows on the left side of the gate area, behind the stone wall.
  • 6 of 8: Your next goal is to sneak George in through the gate.
  • 7 of 8: After the guard walks all the way out to talk with Nico, move George toward the gate, behind the guard.
  • 8 of 8: You may need to have George crouch (hold down left Ctrl while moving), to sneak past the guard undetected.
