Secrets of the Ark: A Broken Sword Game Hints
I found it, but how do I use it to get the secret door open?
1 of 17: Since the door-opening gimmick is a key card reader, you'll obviously need a certain type of key card.
2 of 17: They're probably all in the possessions of the thugs who have access to the office, and they're not likely to give you one, so look around to see if you can find any new areas to explore. Maybe you'll find something useful there.
3 of 17: Leave the crate room with the secret key card reader and go through the nearby doorway that leads into the big, dark crate room.
4 of 17: Near that doorway is another doorway that used to be blocked by a closed and locked shutter-style door. Go through it to find yourself in a room you haven't seen before.
5 of 17: Looking around, you'll find that the only interactive item is the bloody chair that's near the room's back right corner.
6 of 17: Remember what those office thugs were saying about one of their associates?
7 of 17: Apparently, they had to "punish" someone for a failure, and this is where the punishment was carried out. So where's the body now?
8 of 17: Normally, you wouldn't want to know, but maybe they left the deceased thug's possessions on him for now. That might include a key card for the secret office entrance!
9 of 17: The body's not in the room with the bloody chair, so check the other rooms you have access to.
10 of 17: The gangsters slaughtered the guy like a pig, so maybe they're storing him like a pig. Where all have you seen dead pigs hanging around?
11 of 17: You've seen them in the smoke room and in the refrigerated delivery truck, but there's no dead thug in either of those two places.
12 of 17: You can also see dead pigs hanging around on the semi-circular conveyor machine in the factory room that's just past the loading door. But there's no dead thug there, either!
13 of 17: Think about what the conveyor machine is for and how it works.
14 of 17: Maybe if you found its controls, you could get it to cycle around and show you some new things.
15 of 17: The control box is on the wall to the left of the conveyor, so click on it to see what happens.
16 of 17: Sure 'nuff! The dead thug appears on the very first machine rotation.
17 of 17: Click on the thug's body to find a key card, then go use it in the secret key card reader to open the secret door.
