Secrets of the Ark: A Broken Sword Game Hints
How can I get the guard to go further away so I can enter that room safely?
of 11: Your plaster gimmick certainly isn't going to work, since it will draw him to that room every time.
of 11: You'll need to give the guard a reason to leave the whole area temporarily.
of 11: There was a visual clue in the cut-scene you got when you first entered the side hallway that you're in.
of 11: Didn't you notice the guard take a drink out of a cup he has there on the window sill?
of 11: Using your plaster distraction, you should be able to run over to the guard's cup and back without being seen.
of 11: You have nothing to put into the drink to make the guard pass out or run for a medic, so what could you do to it?
of 11: How 'bout if you just empty it? The guard would then have to go get himself a refill.
of 11: So do the plaster distraction thing, then run for the guard's hallway.
of 11: Quickly click on his cup in the window sill to get George to drink all the tea, then run back the way you came.
of 11: Once you're safely back in your side hall, just wait until you get the cut-scene that shows the guard leaving the area to get more tea.
of 11: Now there's nothing to stop you from entering the room below.
