How can I move on from this roof area?
1 of 24: Look around for familiar exit possibilities.
2 of 24: There's a door over on the left, a ladder to the left of the door, and one of those large fans near the back of the roof area.
3 of 24: However, you can't open the door, climb the ladder, or move the fan. Shucks!
4 of 24: Try walking over to the right edge of the roof and looking around.
5 of 24: The next roof over doesn't look too far away.
6 of 24: George won't even think about trying to jump it, but that is your way out.
7 of 24: Did you notice what was the focus of the brief cut-scene you got when you first walked onto the roof from the fire escape?
8 of 24: That big loading joist thing may be useful.
9 of 24: Climb all the way up its ladder and then explore around its narrow walkway.
10 of 24: Walk over to the other end of the walkway to get a good view of the rooftop across the alley.
11 of 24: Also, wave the cursor slowly around the very end of the walkway you're on.
12 of 24: When you get the generic "Interact" action icon, click in order to lower the joist's chain.
13 of 24: Notice that the chain is now hanging straight down over the alley, between the roof segments.
14 of 24: So that's how you're going to get over to the other roof -- you'll swing across on the lowered chain!
15 of 24: Once the chain is in place, climb back down the ladder and walk over to the edge of the roof near the joist's base.
16 of 24: The lowered chain is hard to see, so slowly move your cursor around in the big open space over the alley until you get the "Interact" action icon.
17 of 24: That's the chain, but it's too far out for you to reach, and taking a running jump at it isn't an option.
18 of 24: You'll need to use some sort of item to pull the chain over until it's within reach.
19 of 24: There's nothing useful lying around here, so what have you already gotten that might work?
20 of 24: Search your inventory for items that could be used to extend your reach.
21 of 24: The ever-handy golf club would do the job.
22 of 24: But then, you probably left it inside, jamming that elevator door open.
23 of 24: Once you have the golf club, go to the roof and use it on the hanging chain.
24 of 24: To do that, stand next to the edge of the roof near the base of the loading joist, choose the club from inventory, move the cursor over the alley until it turns into a cross-shaped cursor, then click. (That chain is *so* darn hard to see!)
