2 of 8: You distracted the dumb mutt with some tasty salami. Unfortunately, you haven't been able to retrieve your confiscated inventory items yet, so you have no salami.
3 of 8: But look around. Maybe there's something here that you can use.
4 of 8: There's a dog bowl on the floor near a barred door, and a can of beef setting on the corner of the nearby table.
5 of 8: So the solution is obvious -- put the contents of the can into the dog bowl so the dog will be too busy eating it to bother you.
