How can I get him to go over to the clock?
1 of 11: The answer is upstairs.
2 of 11: Have you explored the fact that you can't go up the hotel stairs that lead up from the floor that Anna Maria's room is on?
3 of 11: The stairs that lead up further are blocked by a fumigation sign.
4 of 11: Also, there's a pile of dead bugs at the bottom of the stairs near the sign.
5 of 11: Click on the bug pile to get a single death watch beetle. How might that be useful?
6 of 11: As far as Alfonso knows, the bug problem is upstairs, and it hasn't reached the lobby yet.
7 of 11: So plant the beetle somewhere to trick him into thinking the bugs have reached the lobby.
8 of 11: Since you're trying to get him to run over to the grandfather clock, use the beetle on it.
9 of 11: That'll only work if you've talked to Alfonso about the fumigation, the death watch beetles, and the grandfather clock.
10 of 11: NOTE: You can only ask about the grandfather clock after examining it or trying to touch it, and you can only ask about the fumigation and beetles after entering the corridor with the rooms and hearing about the beetle problem from "Elvis."
