  • 1 of 14: Go up to the roof and take a look at it.
  • 2 of 14: You can't use it without the proper instructions.
  • 3 of 14: Once you have the recipe, read it.
  • 4 of 14: Look more carefully at the individual letters.
  • 5 of 14: They're all Roman numerals.
  • 6 of 14: I is 1, V is 5, X is 10, L is 50, C is 100, D is 500, and M is 1000.
  • 7 of 14: Take a look at the sled.
  • 8 of 14: The combination there is 1000150500.
  • 9 of 14: Or 1000 1 50 500.
  • 10 of 14: That makes M I L D.  One of the words on the slip.
  • 11 of 14: CIVIC is circled.
  • 12 of 14: CIVIC is 100 1 5 1 100.
  • 13 of 14: You're one digit short, so add a zero to the front, for 0100151100.
  • 14 of 14: Enter that combination into the time sled, and pull the lever to go to the future.
