The Cameron Files: Pharaoh's Curse Hints

Saving games

  • You can die in "Pharaoh's Curse" -- in many places, and in many ways!  And unlike some other games, there is no automatic replay that allows you to avoid the last step that killed you, or to back up just prior to the action that resulted in your death.

As a result, you should save games whenever you are about to enter a new area or try something that could be either dangerous or have unknown results.  There is a limit of 16 saved games at any one time.  Choose the points at which you save games wisely. (Often, you will get an audible clue that something dangerous is about to happen, as the music may get more ominous.  That is often a good place to save the game!)  It might even be a good idea to reserve one of the saved game slots specifically for "temporary" saves -- that is, saves which are just short-term (such as before doing something potentially dangerous), and which may be freely overwritten later.

The Save/Load/Quit menu can be brought up using the Esc key.
