How do I get to the excavation site?

  • 1 of 14: You can see the excavation site from the top of the mountain, near the telescope.
  • 2 of 14: There doesn't seem to be a path down, although there are some more climbing rungs part of the way down, on the right-hand side.
  • 3 of 14: If you could only get over toward them, you should be OK.
  • 4 of 14: But there is nothing in that direction except the cable that extends from the top of the mounting (directly in front of you).
  • 5 of 14: Ever have thoughts of being a circus performer?
  • 6 of 14: Maybe you could just slide down the cable (yeah, sure!)
  • 7 of 14: If you had the right equipment, though, you'd probably be able to do it safely.
  • 8 of 14: What's needed is some kind of rolling wheel -- like a pulley.
  • 9 of 14: As a matter of fact, there was a pulley -- on the small sailboat.
  • 10 of 14: But there's no way to hold onto the pulley and slide down the rope.
  • 11 of 14: It seems that you'll need something to hold onto, while the pulley slides down the rope.
  • 12 of 14: You should have a metal pipe in your inventory.
  • 13 of 14: Combine the metal pipe with the pulley.
  • 14 of 14: Apply the combined pipe and pulley to the top of the cable, and enjoy the ride!
